Lao Cai Provincial Department of Home Affairs: Inspection, public reception, anti-corruption, thrift practice, and anti-waste work in the first 6 months of 2025 achieved positive results.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province has synchronously and seriously deployed key tasks on inspection, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement, anti-corruption, thrift practice and anti-waste according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.

Although it does not conduct administrative or specialized inspections, the Department has proactively disseminated the 2022 Inspection Law and its implementing guidelines. The team of 6 specialized inspection officials has been strengthened, ensuring qualifications, qualities and public service capacity.

Regarding citizen reception, the Department received and processed 7 petitions (including 1 complaint, 3 denunciations, 3 recommendations/reflections), all of which were resolved in accordance with procedures, promptly, and did not create hot spots. The Department Director's regular citizen reception schedule was maintained seriously, clearly demonstrating the spirit of openness and responsibility to the people.

Citizen reception work at the Headquarters is maintained seriously, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Anti-corruption work was promoted with 6 directive documents. The propaganda content focused on transparency of assets, income and implementation of the code of conduct in public service. During the period, no acts of corruption or violations in public service were detected.

In particular, the Department has issued an action program on practicing thrift and combating waste in 2025 with practical content: strictly managing the budget, effectively using public assets, vehicles and offices. Officials and civil servants strictly comply with regulations on public ethics, do not take advantage of their positions for personal gain, do not spread unverified information on social networks, and at the same time implement standards of polite and civilized behavior with organizations and citizens.

Violations of the code of conduct are promptly checked, monitored and handled, contributing to strengthening the image of dedicated and professional civil servants in the eyes of the people. Waste does not occur, and the efficiency of public resource use is significantly improved.

In the coming time, the Department will continue to promote administrative reform, review post-merger procedures, complete the job position project, streamline the payroll associated with improving the quality of the team, aiming to build a modern, transparent administration and effectively serve the people.
