A vibrant art night titled 'The Nation Filled with Joy'

The art program "The Nation's Complete Joy" was organized to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.

On the evening of April 30th, at the City Theater Square, the art program "The Nation's Complete Joy" took place in a solemn and vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of delegates, citizens, and tourists.

The program, directed by the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and implemented by the City's Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibitions, features the participation of many artists and singers: Moc An (winner of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2024), Minh Ngoc, Duy Duc, Hong Son, Tuan Hai, along with actors from the Hai Phong College of Culture, Arts and Tourism and the Military Region 3 Performing Arts Troupe.

Lasting 80 minutes, the program is elaborately staged and structured into two parts.

Part 1, "The Call of the Homeland," opens up an artistic space rich in epic qualities, recreating the heroic chapters of the nation's history. Highlights include the performances of "The Spirit of Bach Dang, the Sacred River," with its grand choral and dance scale; "The Fire Has Started," performed emotionally by Minh Ngoc; and "Listening to the Boatman's Song at Night, Remembering Uncle Ho," presented with profound emotion by Moc An. The combination of music , dance, and projected images highlights the indomitable spirit, the will to fight, and gratitude towards previous generations.

Moving on to Part 2, "The Nation's Complete Joy," the program's atmosphere shifted to a bright and vibrant one, featuring scenes and medleys celebrating the victory of Spring 1975 and the country's development achievements. Performances such as "Marching Towards Saigon - The Nation's Complete Joy," "Continuing the Story of Peace," and "Vietnam's Aspiration for Strength and Prosperity" brought a heroic spirit, expressing the joy of reunification and the aspiration to rise in the new era.

The highlight of the program was the large-scale staging recreating images of soldiers, the home front, and the day of complete victory; along with contemporary performances reflecting the face of the country and Hai Phong city today. The duet "Hai Phong Love Song" performed by Duy Duc and Minh Ngoc vividly portrayed the image of the courageous, dynamic, and historically rich port city that is rapidly developing.

With its investment in content, artistry, and performance technology, the program created an emotionally rich space, connecting the past, present, and future. More than just a cultural event celebrating a major holiday, "The Nation's Complete Joy" also contributed to educating about patriotic traditions, igniting national pride, and encouraging the spirit of building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
