The super-luxury Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition was originally developed to commemorate the late Louis Vuitton Creative Director, Virgil Abloh - who collaborated with Mercedes-Benz to design a number of concept cars with a fashion and artistic style.

Only 150 special Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Editions were produced worldwide , so each one is highly collectible and is usually kept in original condition.

However, an owner in the US decided to "break that limit" by bringing this special Maybach to a tuning shop to completely upgrade its appearance in RS (Racing Style) style.

The first notable point is that the car's air suspension system is lowered to the maximum, helping the car to be almost "close to the ground" when parked. The original rims are replaced with large, specially designed multi-spoke rims, painted in glossy black, increasing the sportiness but still maintaining the inherent luxury spirit of Maybach.

Not stopping there, the entire bodywork has been repainted in metallic black, replacing the original two-tone white-bronze color scheme that is iconic to the Virgil Abloh version. Some chrome details have also been re-treated in black or carbon tones to create a seamless look.

Unlike the "transformed" exterior, the cabin of this Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition still retains the original, characteristic layout.

The interior features light beige leather with fine stitching and high-quality wood. However, small details such as floor mats, door panels and interior lighting have also been refined to match the new exterior look.

The owner of this extremely unique Racing-style Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition said his wish was to create a Maybach unlike any other, even though it was already a global limited edition.

Immediately after the image of the unique Maybach RS Edition super luxury car spread on social networks, the car enthusiast community had mixed reactions.

Many people expressed admiration for the owner's "dare to think, dare to do" spirit, while many others expressed regret that a limited edition car model was so deeply interfered with.

However, it cannot be denied that the S680 RS Edition is one of the most unique Maybachs available in the US at the moment, not only because of its limited value, but also because of the strong personality that the owner has breathed into every detail.

The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Virgil Abloh Edition still uses a 6.0L V12 engine with EQ Boost technology, maximum capacity of 612 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque.

Combined with the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission, the sedan weighing more than 2.3 tons can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
