Universities and colleges implement various forms of counseling and admissions services.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, An Giang Vocational College will enroll over 1,500 students in 19 college-level programs and 15 intermediate-level programs. The programs offered this year are diverse, ranging from engineering and technology to economics and services, providing students with many choices to suit market trends.

To facilitate access to vocational training programs for graduating students, the school proactively collaborates with other schools to promote counseling and recruitment through direct visits to the school and by sending staff and teachers to the schools. During these counseling sessions, information is provided on training programs, admission methods, and opportunities for study and employment after graduation. Students' questions are also answered regarding the benefits of vocational training, preferential policies, scholarships, and dormitory support. In addition, the school actively cooperates with junior high schools to organize field trips to the school, allowing students to experience and understand the vocational training programs offered. This provides opportunities for students to observe, reflect, and participate in practical activities, thereby enabling them to make more accurate career choices.

Mr. Duong Thanh Phong (Deputy Principal of Vinh Thanh Trung Secondary School, Chau Phu District) said that the school's management board has always paid attention to career guidance for 9th-grade students. “An Giang Vocational College has a long history. Along with An Giang Vocational College, An Giang University (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) is also busy with student recruitment. In particular, besides career counseling and guidance, An Giang University is implementing the "Experience a Day as an AGU Student" program, with many attractive activities. This is a real opportunity for students to learn more about An Giang University. According to Tran Trung Quoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of An Giang University, participating students will be introduced to the outstanding features of An Giang University and its admission methods. They will also experience being a student volunteer; visit the experimental areas for crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and aquaculture; tour high-tech equipment, the library, and the IT center; interact with foreign volunteers; work as editors and television presenters; and participate in team-building activities…

“The program will help students relieve stress and fatigue after long days of studying. In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in and experience practical learning and recreational activities right at An Giang University. At the same time, it will introduce the image of An Giang University to high school students in the province, as well as through various media outlets…” - Tran Trung Quoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of An Giang University, further shared.

In 2025, An Giang University plans to enroll students in 40 undergraduate programs. The university will implement three admission methods: direct admission, admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, and admission based on the results of the competency assessment organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. It is known that in recent times, schools have been actively promoting career counseling and guidance for students through various means. For example, they have collaborated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Employment Service Center to organize counseling and recruitment sessions, and held job fairs for junior and senior high school students. In addition, they have sent staff and lecturers to recruit students directly at schools; and diversified recruitment methods through social media platforms such as Zalo and Facebook. This allows students to access information about projected future workforce needs in various fields and professions.

With proactive innovation, improved training quality, and guaranteed job placement, many vocational schools in the province have been and are standing firm in meeting the demand for training high-quality human resources to satisfy the requirements of the current Industry 4.0 labor market.
