Soon build a walking street, shopping at night in the Vincom Shophouse area

That was the direction of Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong during the inspection of the implementation of the Nam Dong Ha Commercial - Service Urban Area project and the social housing project this afternoon, December 24.

The Nam Dong Ha Commercial - Service Urban Area Project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 3520/QD-UBND dated November 5, 2021. The scale of the investment project to build a new urban area on a land area of ​​13.69 hectares, including the following works: Low-rise housing areas; urban technical infrastructure; green parks; commercial centers and urban social service works, ensuring full provision of utilities for residents in the urban area.

Reporting at the field inspection, a representative of Vincom Retail Operation Company Limited said that the Nam Dong Ha Commercial and Service Urban Area project has now put into operation the Commercial Center and the shophouses have residents living and doing business.

However, during the project implementation, the investor is still facing some difficulties in legal procedures related to adjusting the detailed local planning of land plots CX-03 and DV-01 to serve as a basis for applying for a construction permit for the 4-season swimming pool area.

On the other hand, the Social Housing category has completed construction, is completing the infrastructure outside the house, and is expected to propose a price plan in January 2025 and open for sale in March 2025, but up to this point, the investor has not yet been granted a certificate of land use rights because there has not been a decision approving the infrastructure rental price.

Representatives of Vincom Retail Operation Company Limited also reported the progress of procedures related to the application for a permit to build sidewalks and left lanes on the section km1+121 - km1+437, National Highway 9, the southern bypass of Quang Tri province; proposed to be assigned to manage, care for, and operate the green park project and requested relevant departments and branches to support investors in implementing walking streets (night markets) on some streets within the Vincom Shophouse area before the Lunar New Year - 2025.

Representatives of the People's Committee of Dong Ha City; the Departments of Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, and Finance answered a number of issues related to the investor's proposals and recommendations. At the same time, they agreed to continue to provide maximum support to investors in the process of implementing related documents and procedures to develop the city's urban space in accordance with the planning orientation, creating conditions for the formation and complete development of the southern urban area of ​​Dong Ha City.

Speaking at the field inspection, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong praised and acknowledged the efforts, seriousness and responsibility of the investor in implementing the construction and operation of the Nam Dong Ha Commercial - Service Urban Area project, contributing to changing the urban appearance of the city to be spacious and worthy of being a type II urban area.

Regarding the investors' proposals and recommendations related to procedures, mechanisms and policies, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Dong Ha City to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to research and develop regulations to adjust the detailed local planning of land plots CX-03 and DV-01 to support the project in completing all items according to the plan.

Assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Finance to review, research, and determine land rental prices for infrastructure for the Social Housing project to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision to support the acceleration of the process of granting land use right certificates to investors.

At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Department of Planning and Investment is assigned to actively coordinate with the People's Committee of Dong Ha City and investors to urgently develop a plan and determine the location within the Vincom Shophouse area to soon form a walking street, in order to create more destinations for entertainment, recreation and shopping at night, both meeting the needs of the people and contributing to keeping tourists staying, promoting the development of trade, services and tourism in Dong Ha City in particular and the province in general.
