After Kane lifted the Bundesliga trophy last weekend, Son quickly contacted his close friend to send his congratulations. The two spent eight years together at Tottenham, and were once one of the most effective partnerships in the Premier League.

Son told the Guardian : "I texted Harry and he video called me. I'm really happy to see Kane happy. He's one of my best friends. Seeing an old friend achieve such success makes me happy."

Son also hopes that Kane will continue to support Tottenham in upcoming matches, especially the crucial Europa League final against Manchester United. This match on May 21st will be an opportunity for Spurs to end their 17-year trophy drought.

For Son, winning this award means a great deal. This could be the biggest achievement in the South Korean star's nearly 10 years playing for Tottenham.
