(To Quoc Newspaper) - On the evening of March 5th, in Hanoi, the 19th Dedication Awards ceremony for 2025, organized by the Sports & Culture Newspaper, with two award categories: the Dedication Music Awards and the Dedication Sports Awards, took place in a captivating manner, honoring deserving individuals.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong and Director General of Vietnam News Agency Vu Viet Trang attended the award ceremony.

Marking 20 years of accompanying the development of Vietnamese popular music and expanding into the field of sports from 2023, this year's Dedication Award specifically presents commemorative plaques to recognize individuals and groups who have contributed to the award.

The organizing committee presented commemorative plaques to those who have contributed to the Dedication Award over the past 20 years.

These include musician Duong Thu - who has been associated with the award since its early seasons; singer My Tam - who has many valuable works and has received 6 Dedication Awards; singer Tung Duong - the artist with the most Dedication Awards; and journalist Huu Trinh - who has been associated with the award for many years.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong and Ms. Vu Viet Trang presented the Inspirational Artist award to Professor Chu Bao Que.

This year, the Inspirational Artist award was also presented to Professor, Doctor, and artist Chu Bao Que, who has dedicated many years to quietly and persistently preserving the artistic essence of his ancestors and passing it on to future generations.

Regarding the Dedication Music Awards, singer SOOBIN achieved a hat-trick by winning in 3 categories: Singer of the Year, Album of the Year with "Turn It On," and Music Video of the Year with "If Only" (composed and performed by SOOBIN, directed by Lam Dao Dao).

The Song of the Year award went to "Rebirth" by composer Tang Duy Tan, performed by singer Tung Duong. This song has been a huge hit on music platforms for some time now and has been covered by many artists. The song also brought Tung Duong his 14th Dedication Award.

The program of the year belongs to the live concert "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles".

Winners of the Dedication Music Awards will have the opportunity to attend and receive the International Special Awards at the Japan Music Awards in May 2025, organized by the Cultural & Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA) of Japan. The selection of nominees for this award will be considered by the organizing committees of both awards in the near future.

Regarding the Dedication Sports Awards, this year continues to honor four categories: Sporting Achievement of the Year, Sporting Figure of the Year, Young Sporting Figure of the Year, and Aspiration for Dedication.

Coach Kim Sang-sik represented the Vietnamese national football team in receiving the Sports Achievement of the Year award.

The Vietnamese men's national football team, with their outstanding achievement of winning the ASEAN Cup 2024 with 7 unbeaten matches and claiming their third title in this region's top tournament, deservedly received the Sports Achievement of the Year award.

The Sports Face of the Year award goes to footballer Nguyen Xuan Son. He is a standout striker for the Vietnamese men's national football team and made a significant contribution to their victory in the 2024 ASEAN Cup. Nguyen Xuan Son personally won the top scorer award with 7 goals and was named the best player of the tournament.

The Young Sportswoman of the Year award went to canoeing athlete Nguyen Thi Huong for her outstanding achievements: qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics; a gold medal at the Asian Championships; a gold medal at the Asian U23 Championships; and three gold medals at the Southeast Asian Championships...

The Award for Dedication and Contribution was presented to Dong Luc Joint Stock Company for its outstanding contributions to the socialization of sports and the dissemination of positive values ​​in the community, helping to encourage the development of the sports movement nationwide.

And through this partnership, starting this year, via the Dedication Award, Vietnamese artists will have the opportunity to be honored on the continental 'stage,' allowing Vietnamese popular music to integrate more deeply with the biggest music trends in Asia."

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Dedication Award, a special edition Dedication Cup, plated with gold leaf in accordance with tradition, was auctioned off. The 700 million VND raised from the auction of this cup will be donated to the charitable program "For a School for Children," aimed at building and renovating classrooms for children in remote areas.
