Better Choice Awards is an annual award organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with VCCorp, under the direction of the Ministry of Finance .
The award aims to honor innovative, sustainable products and services that have a positive impact on the community, while reflecting Vietnamese consumption trends in the digital age.
In previous seasons, the “Trend-Making Technology Product” category of the Smart Choice Awards system has honored devices that lead technology trends. In previous seasons, this title belonged to international flagship smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (2023) and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (2024), but this year, for the first time, a Vietnamese artificial intelligence platform was named.
Winning the “Trend-Making Technology Product” award at the Better Choice Awards 2025 is a recognition from users and technology experts, opening up great opportunities for AI Hay domestically and internationally. This also strengthens the belief that Vietnamese AI products can compete on the international stage.

Launched with the mission of bringing AI closer to Vietnamese people's lives, AI Hay is designed to be both an "intelligent assistant" and a "cultural bridge". Outstanding features include Personalized learning and entertainment in natural Vietnamese; Advanced search through images and videos ; Understanding and analyzing Vietnamese online culture, memes, slang; Suggestions and companionship in daily life needs.
AI Hay is the first and largest purely Vietnamese AI Q&A social network in Vietnam. With over 15 million downloads, AI Hay combines the power of AI and community to create a source of accurate, transparent knowledge that is close to Vietnamese culture. The application currently leads the number of downloads in the “ Education ” category on app stores and continuously expands its influence through educational initiatives, research and university cooperation.
According to Decision Lab's report (2025), AI Hay is in the Top 6 AIs most used by Vietnamese people, and ranked 2nd in terms of satisfaction. In addition, according to Sensor Tower (8/2025), AI Hay is the only AI application from Southeast Asia to be in the top 10 most used AI applications in the region.
In early July 2025, AI Hay successfully raised $10 million in Series A funding led by Argor Capital, with participation from Square Peg, Northstar Ventures, AppWorks and Phoenix Holdings. The total capital raised now exceeds $18 million, serving the strategy of expanding the web platform, developing educational and entertainment features and personalized AI assistants for Vietnamese people.
With the orientation of "technology for people", AI Hay aims to develop a friendly AI platform that understands Vietnamese language and culture, serving everyone's learning, working, and creative needs.
