Studio H9 - Weekend Rendezvous: The Return of Dong Lan

After seven years of traveling across many countries, Dong Lan decided to return and launch her music project. She shared her thoughts with the program "Studio H9 - Weekend Rendezvous".

Dong Lan was a prominent figure from the first season of The Voice Vietnam, known for her French songs. Many colleagues and fans jokingly called her "the craziest singer in Vietnamese music" due to her unique, captivating, and creative style. However, while enjoying public attention, Dong Lan suddenly went quiet and almost disappeared from the Vietnamese music scene. The singer chose to leave Vietnam to experience life and work in various countries such as France, the United States, and Japan.

The singer stated that finances have never been her top priority, so living a nomadic life abroad is not a problem for her. Dong Lan shared that she chooses a minimalist lifestyle, relying on relatives or sharing accommodation with other foreign artists. Living with locals has given her the opportunity to fully experience the culture, specifically the music, of the host country.

Speaking about her long-awaited Red Moon project, Dong Lan said it's a gift she's giving to girls and women in general. The singer hopes that girls will no longer have to endure unnecessary pain on their journey to adulthood, that they will become aware of their self-worth, and that they will love even their physical imperfections. Dong Lan also added that she will donate a portion of the project's profits to nurture talented young girls in the field of music, hoping that these seeds will grow into green trees that provide shade for the world.
