Brazil striker Luis Suarez helped Gremio come from behind to win 4-3 away against Botafogo, the current leaders of the Brazilian championship, on the evening of November 9th.

In the 50th minute, with the score at 3-1 in favor of Botafogo, Suarez reduced the deficit to 2-3. After dribbling past the home team's defender, the former Barca star shot into the near corner, while the Botafogo goalkeeper attempted to save it for the far corner.

Just three minutes later, Suarez equalized for Gremio. Following a cross from the left wing, the 36-year-old striker struck a one-touch shot into the far corner of the net against Botafogo. In the 69th minute, Suarez completed his hat-trick and sealed a 4-3 victory. This time, he played a one-two with a teammate in the center of the field to bypass five home players before shooting the ball past the goalkeeper's outstretched hand and into the net.

Diego Costa is a former teammate of Suarez at Atletico Madrid in the 2020-2021 season and a two-time Premier League winner with Chelsea.
