From more than 600 works, the first Kim Dong Literature Award has found the 11 best works. The Final Jury, including writers and poets Tran Duc Tien, Nguyen Nhat Anh, Ly Lan, and Nguyen Thuy Anh, reached a high consensus in selecting the works worthy of the awards.

Commenting on the campaign, Writer Tran Duc Tien, Chairman of the Final Jury, said: The lack of limitation on topics is a necessary openness, a favorable condition for participating writers to fully develop their abilities and strengths. Stories about daily life account for a large proportion. The genre of fairy tales also has considerable appeal, especially for writers who love nature and are rich in imagination.
Some authors also exploit historical and traditional themes, or initially try their hand at fantasy, martial arts, detective genres... and have also made certain contributions.
According to writer Tran Duc Tien, the main goal of any contest or creative movement is to produce excellent works and discover talented authors.
Good writing, talented and young people are even more commendable. They are the future of literature in general, and children's literature in particular. "Many excellent works that won high prizes in this campaign belong to young people. We think that is the most significant success of the first Kim Dong Literature Award", writer Tran Duc Tien shared more.

As a result, the First Prize (worth 100 million VND) was awarded to the novel “What to do when the wind blows” by author Giai Du. The Second Prize went to two novels “Chuyen o lang Menh Mong” by author Nguyen Thi Nhu Hien and “Nguoi man co xe xe mau pink” by author Giap Thi Thuy Duong.
