Temporarily stop receiving visitors to the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Special National Monument

QTO - On the morning of August 23, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT&DL) of Quang Tri province said that to serve the construction of the Thong Nhat Park project, welcoming visitors to the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Special National Monument will be temporarily suspended.

Accordingly, during the time of handing over the site and implementing the construction of all items of the Thong Nhat Park project from August 2025 to December 31, 2025, the work of welcoming, explaining and guiding visitors at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Special National Monument will not meet service requirements.

On the other hand, to ensure the safety of visitors and facilitate the Quang Tri Provincial Construction Investment Management Board to implement construction and ensure the project is completed on schedule, the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Special National Monument will temporarily close to visitors from August 23 until further notice.

The leader of the Management Board of the Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Relic Site said that during the temporary suspension of receiving visitors, the unit still operates normally to protect and clean.

The Thong Nhat Park project at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Relic Site was approved by the People's Committee of the former Quang Tri province in December 2024 with a total investment of VND 80 billion. The project includes items of restoration and renovation of the flagpole, Hien Luong bridge, complex house, office building of the relic management board and toilets on the North bank, reception house and toilets on the South bank along with other auxiliary items and temporary works.

For Hien Luong Bridge, the project will replace a part of the rusted and damaged iron and steel frame, replace the bridge surface wood with 50mm thick ironwood, repair and reinforce the bridge abutments with carbon fiber panels... In addition, the project will also invest in specialized equipment to serve the cinema room, commentary and management work.
