(CT) - In order to facilitate easy travel for the people and ensure traffic order and safety during the upcoming April 30th and May 1st holidays, the Department of Construction of Can Tho City has requested the People's Committees of districts and communes to temporarily suspend the issuance of construction permits for essential projects within the land designated for roads, including road digging, from April 30th to May 4th, 2025.

The City Department of Construction requests that investors and project management boards direct construction units to promptly repair damaged road surfaces for construction projects on roads currently in operation, ensuring absolute safety for vehicles participating in traffic on the route. At the same time, they should direct construction units to temporarily suspend construction, restore the site, and concentrate construction equipment in designated areas, without obstructing traffic. In cases where the project is urgent and construction must continue, a specific construction plan must be developed, construction must be organized efficiently, and supervision and inspection of labor safety and traffic safety must be strengthened.
