The send-off ceremony for the PVF-CAND Club was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Public Security , leaders of Hung Yen province, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), as well as numerous reporters, fans, and team members.
PVF-CAND FC is a newcomer to the V-League 2025-2026, having just been promoted after registering a vacant spot left by Quang Nam FC, which withdrew from the league. Since its establishment in 2018 (originally named Pho Hien), this is PVF-CAND's first appearance in Vietnam's top professional football league.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Le Van, president of PVF-CAND Club, shared: "Competing in the V-League is a great honor and an important milestone in the club's development. We believe that a professional spirit, unique identity, and dedication are the foundation for achieving higher goals."
At the ceremony, PVF-CAND Club announced its squad for the V-League 2025-2026. In addition to the core team from the First Division last season, the team has added several new players, including naturalized player Hoang Vu Samson and foreign player Joseph Mpande, who are notable additions.
Head coach Thach Bao Khanh and player representative Nguyen Hieu Minh shared their high determination and serious preparation for a successful season. With the motto "Fight - Identity - Pride," PVF-CAND Club aims to deliver high-quality matches, achieve high results, and leave a lasting impression on fans.
The send-off ceremony was also an occasion to honor the youth teams of the PVF Youth Football Training Center - Ministry of Public Security. In the first seven months of 2025, the PVF youth teams won three national championships: U15 national, U19 national, and U21 national.
PVF's recruitment partner is the Hung Yen Sports Center, with the Hung Yen U11 team, which included 6 young PVF trainees from the 16th cohort, winning the 2025 National Children's Football Championship.
In particular, at the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament, the PVF-CAND team represented Vietnam and performed excellently, winning the championship.
The presence of PVF-CAND Club is an interesting wildcard in this year's V-League 2025-2026. Besides that, the V-League 2025-2026 will also feature two teams named after the police force: Hanoi Police and Ho Chi Minh City Police (formerly known as Ho Chi Minh City Club).
