Continuing their commitment to "leaving no one behind," the staff and doctors of Thach Khe Commune Health Station regularly, every week, overcome difficulties to visit homes to provide medical examinations and care for the elderly, people with disabilities, and those with special circumstances that make travel difficult in the villages. These trips, imbued with a sense of responsibility, dedication, and compassion, have left many beautiful impressions in the hearts of the local people.

According to this week's medical schedule, from early morning, healthcare workers prepared all the necessary equipment and medicines to visit each household with elderly or disabled people in Dai Hai and Nam Hai villages. At each family, the medical team directly measured blood pressure, checked heart rate, and monitored underlying conditions such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, and musculoskeletal disorders. This allowed them to promptly detect any abnormalities and provide guidance on treatment or referral to higher-level facilities when necessary.
In addition to performing their professional duties, healthcare workers also diligently guide people on the correct use of medication, ensuring the right dosage and avoiding errors that could affect their health. For elderly people who frequently suffer from chronic illnesses, taking medication on time and as prescribed is crucial. Therefore, doctors and nurses patiently explain the procedures in detail to patients and their family members to ensure more effective care.
What makes each visit special is not only the health check-up but also the sharing and encouragement given to the elderly. Many elderly people live alone and have limited opportunities for social interaction, so each time they are visited by healthcare workers, they feel deeply moved and warm-hearted.

Ms. Vo Thi Thuy (born in 1983, Nam Hai village) shared: "I have been disabled since birth and cannot walk like a normal person, so going for regular check-ups is very difficult. Fortunately, the doctors and nurses at the health station regularly come every month to check, give medicine, and encourage me, which makes me feel very warm and comforted."
As for Mrs. Nguyen Thi Son (68 years old, Dai Hai village), after suffering a stroke in 2024, she is bedridden and unable to walk. Along with the care of her relatives, every month, medical staff from the Thach Khe Commune Health Station visit to examine her, dispense medication, and encourage her and her family to remain optimistic and strive for improvement.

In addition, Ms. Son received advice on a suitable diet for her health condition and guidance on gentle rehabilitation exercises to improve her physical condition and limit disease complications. These simple yet practical pieces of advice on eating, resting, and daily activities have helped many people change their habits and improve their awareness of self-care.
Dr. Pham Cong Tung, head of the Thach Khe Commune Health Station, said: “For the elderly, people with disabilities, or those with serious illnesses, going to a medical facility for examination and treatment is a difficult journey. In some cases, people have poor health, difficulty traveling, or lack family members to accompany them, making access to medical services very challenging. Therefore, home visits not only represent simple healthcare but also demonstrate the responsibility and deep concern of the health sector for vulnerable people in the community.”

It can be said that the direct visits and dispensing of medicine at home by grassroots healthcare workers to the elderly and disabled is a commitment to improving the quality of primary healthcare for the people, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo .
Dr. Pham Cong Tung affirmed: “In the coming time, we will continue to maintain home healthcare activities, strengthen propaganda and counseling to raise people's awareness of disease prevention and health care. Through this, we will contribute to building a healthy and compassionate community and ensure that no one is left behind in the journey of caring for the lives and health of the people.”
