Strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of the Red Cross Society in the new situation

On October 6, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 3836 to implement Conclusion No. 44 dated November 14, 2022 of the Secretariat on continuing to implement Directive No. 43-CT/TW dated June 8, 2010 of the 10th Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) in the new situation.

In recent years, the implementation of Directive 43 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in the new situation has been seriously implemented by Party committees, authorities and Red Cross Societies at all levels, achieving many positive results. In the third quarter of 2023 alone, Red Cross Societies at all levels in the province have made great efforts to achieve high results, with the total value of all aspects of the work of the entire Society converted into money of over 15.4 billion VND. In particular, social security work stands out with a total value of over 10.6 billion VND and more than 4.6 billion VND for community-based health care.

To continue to effectively implement Directive No. 43 and fully and effectively carry out the tasks in Conclusion No. 44 of the Secretariat, in Plan No. 3836, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Provincial Red Cross Association to coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to propagate and raise awareness and responsibility for humanitarian work and the role of the Provincial Red Cross Association. Identifying humanitarian work as an important part of mass mobilization work, a regular task, contributing significantly to the propaganda, promotion and dissemination of the nation's fine tradition of humanity. Participate in the movements "Good people, good deeds", "Joining hands to build a compassionate community", "Humanitarian Tet", "Humanitarian Month"...; continue to replicate good models and good practices in humanitarian activities associated with the emulation movement of skillful mass mobilization. At the same time, the Provincial Red Cross Association continues to consolidate and improve the organization and improve the quality and effectiveness of the Red Cross Association's activities. In addition, departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities need to continue to create conditions for the Provincial Red Cross Association to participate in socio -economic development programs, projects and plans in accordance with the functions, tasks of the association and the provisions of law. Create conditions and support funding according to assigned tasks so that the Red Cross Associations at all levels can promote their core role in humanitarian work and Red Cross activities, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies in the locality.
