Join hands to build a "humane society - leaving no one behind"

(SGGP) - On November 23, the 6th National Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, period 2025-2030 with the theme "Innovation, creativity, spreading the humanitarian power of Vietnam" took place in Hanoi.

Speaking at the congress, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet proposed that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society continue to strongly promote the program "Humanitarian Strength" and "Humanitarian Month" in the entire association and the entire people, considering this an important factor in the association's patriotic emulation movement; strongly innovate the content and methods of emulation activities; link emulation with sustainable development programs and social security goals; encourage businesses, organizations and individuals to join hands in building a "humane society - leaving no one behind"; promote humanitarian digital transformation, and map the number of vulnerable people.

Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet presented the Friendship Medal to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

At the congress, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) were awarded the Friendship Medal by the President .

Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement of the Vietnam Red Cross Society has continued to affirm itself as a special mass movement, competing for the poor and vulnerable. The entire Society has mobilized and assisted more than 102 million people, with a total value of over 29,186 billion VND, an increase of 45% compared to the previous period.
