Honoring 60 outstanding individuals and groups in the humanitarian movement

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2025), on the morning of November 21, the Provincial Red Cross Society held a conference to honor outstanding individuals and groups in the humanitarian movement in 2025 and summarize the program of mobilizing support for the Cuban people.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Red Cross chapters at all levels in the province have presented more than 50,000 gifts to the poor and disadvantaged on the occasion of the Lunar New Year; built and repaired 150 humanitarian houses. The Provincial Red Cross Chapter organized 60 first aid training courses, equipped nearly 1,800 people with skills; examined and provided free medicine to over 2,200 people. The whole province has organized 55 voluntary blood donation campaigns, collecting over 25,400 units of blood. The whole province maintains more than 500 volunteer teams and groups with over 6,800 members, operating effectively in localities. The movements and activities of the Red Cross chapters at all levels have joined hands and contributed to local authorities to effectively implement social security policies, build a compassionate community, with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".

The program "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" was held from August 13 to October 16, 2025. Through the Hung Yen Provincial Red Cross, it received over 24,200 organizations, businesses and people to support with a total amount of more than 11.7 billion VND. The entire amount received was transferred by the Provincial Red Cross to the Vietnam Red Cross to support the Cuban people to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Award scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties.

At the conference, the Provincial Red Cross honored 60 outstanding collectives and individuals in the humanitarian movement in 2025; awarded the golden heart of humanity to collectives with outstanding contributions to the campaign to support the Cuban people; awarded 5 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties in the province, each scholarship worth 5 million VND.
