Cao Bang is the leading province in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

On October 27, Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, period 2021 - 2025. The conference was held directly at the Provincial Conference Center and connected online to 56 communes and wards in the whole province.

The movement to support people in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Cao Bang province has become increasingly popular and widespread.

Many groups and individuals inside and outside the province join hands to help Cao Bang carry out the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

According to the report, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Cao Bang province will support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for 19,067 poor households, near-poor households and policy families with a total implementation cost of over 955 billion VND, meeting 100% of the people's needs. Of which, over 13,700 new houses were built; over 5,300 houses and 26 prefabricated houses were repaired. In addition, the whole province mobilized many socialized resources to support an additional 401 houses with a total cost of nearly 18 billion VND; mobilized more than 200,000 working days, 67 tons of cement, and hundreds of tons of construction materials, equipment, and vehicles from organizations, individuals, businesses, armed forces and people in the whole province.

At the conference, representatives of a number of units discussed and shared difficulties and lessons learned in implementing the program, results and lessons learned in directing and implementing housing support for people with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives, and poor and near-poor households under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction...

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nong Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, praised the outstanding results that Cao Bang province achieved in implementing the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses - one of the leading localities with many effective methods, recognized and highly appreciated by the Government in implementing the program.

“Housing support is just the beginning. More importantly, it helps people develop their livelihoods, stabilize their lives, and escape poverty sustainably. We request that the province continue to promote the valuable experiences and lessons from the program, maintain the achieved results, regularly review and promptly support households in difficulty, ensuring that all people have a stable place to live, settle down, and find a job,” Deputy Minister Nong Thi Ha emphasized.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province awarded Certificates of Merit to 21 collectives and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Cao Bang province by 2025".
