Communes and wards in Hanoi simultaneously launched a campaign to support people affected by storms and floods.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards coordinate with Party Committees at the same level to simultaneously launch a fundraising campaign at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow, November 22.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city has just issued an Official Dispatch on responding to the Call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the Launching Ceremony to support people affected by floods.

The document clearly stated: The storm and flood situation in 2025 will be extreme and unusual, with the number of storms and tropical depressions higher than the average of many years, causing many consecutive natural disasters, historic floods, and serious damage to people and property.

From June to November 2025 alone, the East Sea experienced 14 storms and tropical depressions. In a short period of time, three consecutive storms (storms No. 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) caused a situation of "storm on storm, flood on flood".

In recent days, people in the Central and Central Highlands provinces have had to struggle to cope with exceptionally heavy rains and floods, causing heavy damage to people and property, especially in the provinces and cities of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Da Nang .

Up to now, the damage caused by floods has left dozens of people dead and missing; over 52 thousand houses deeply flooded, 167 houses damaged, over 13 thousand hectares of crops and over 2 thousand hectares of perennial trees flooded; over 30 thousand livestock and poultry were swept away by floods, many communes are still isolated; North-South traffic routes are cut off due to serious landslides in some places.

With the spirit of "Mutual love and affection", "Hanoi for the whole country, Hanoi with the whole country", at the same time expressing the sharing of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital with the people of localities affected by the impact of storms and floods in 2025, responding to the call of the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City requested its affiliated member organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards to focus on implementing a number of contents:

Strengthen information to cadres, party members, union members, youth union members and people of all walks of life about the serious damage in the Central and Central Highlands provinces; emphasize the urgency of relief work in the humanitarian spirit of "Mutual love and support", "The whole leaf covers the torn leaf"; call on and mobilize organizations and individuals to participate in supporting the damaged compatriots.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards coordinate with the Party Committees at the same level to simultaneously launch a call for support at 7:30 a.m. on November 22, 2025 in the locality before starting the online conference for the training class, updating knowledge and skills on Party building work for commune-level Party Committees; receiving, managing, and synthesizing resources according to the principles of publicity - transparency - right subjects - timeliness in accordance with the instructions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city requested its member organizations and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of affiliated communes and wards to uphold their sense of responsibility, organize urgent, serious, synchronous and effective implementation, contributing to timely support for people in the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
