
On November 23, Bien Hoa Ward Police, Dong Nai Province, issued an administrative violation report against QVT (born in 1996, residing in Hung My Commune, Ca Mau Province) for providing and sharing fake information and false information about the flood situation in Dong Nai Province for the purpose of attracting likes. The content of the posted information caused confusion among the public in the area.
Previously, on November 22, QVT used the Facebook account "Quach Tuong" to post false information about flooding at Hoa An bridge (Bien Hoa ward).
Immediately after discovering the incident, Bien Hoa Ward Police coordinated with the Cyber Security and Crime Prevention Department to use high technology from Dong Nai Province Police to quickly verify and clarify the subject and invite the person concerned to work to clarify the violation. Working with the police, QVT admitted to the violation, voluntarily deleted the posts on his personal website and pledged not to repeat the offense.
Bien Hoa Ward Police have drawn up a record of administrative violations of the act of "providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, and insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals" as prescribed in: Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government .
Bien Hoa Ward Police recommends that organizations and individuals participating in activities on cyberspace must strictly comply with legal regulations and provide and share information content on the internet.
