On the afternoon of November 23, at Ton Duc Thang Museum, the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day.

Attending the program were comrade Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; delegates, members, artisans, researchers and people working in heritage conservation in the city and neighboring provinces.

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh signing Decree 65 on the preservation of ancient relics and the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day being selected as an annual national activity.

Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association launches 3 new branches

Also on this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association launched three new branches, including: Binh Duong Museum Branch, Tinh Tam - Tra Viet Cultural Heritage Branch and Con Dao Special National Monument Branch. The establishment decision was given to representatives of the new branches, demonstrating the strong development of the heritage activity network in the Southern region.

At the ceremony, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association awarded Medals and Certificates of Merit to groups and individuals with many contributions to the work of preserving and promoting heritage values.

The celebration space became brilliant and rich in identity with the Ao Dai performance of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Cultural Heritage Association - the association with the largest number of members under 30.

Within the framework of the event, there were also activities: screening of a video report of the contest "Connecting Heritage - Creating the Future", with the first prize going to the video "Silently in the Heart of Saigon, Special Forces Footprints".

In her closing speech, Ms. Le Tu Cam, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association, expressed her gratitude to the delegates, artisans, members and accompanying units who joined hands to create meaningful activities on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. The Association hopes that the community will continue to maintain the flame of passion, contributing to bringing heritage closer to the public, especially the young generation.
