There has been a sharp increase in the number of candidates registering for the final round of the cognitive assessment exam.

The registration system for the 3rd round of the 2026 TSA Thinking Skills Assessment Exam at Hanoi University of Science and Technology has recorded over 22,000 successful registrations, an increase of more than 10% compared to the 2nd round. This is the largest number of test scores ever recorded in a single exam round.

On the afternoon of May 13th, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced that the TSA exam registration system for the third round had recorded over 22,000 successful registrations, an increase of more than 10% compared to the second round in 2026, with no technical issues occurring. All candidates have successfully selected their desired exam locations.

According to the university representative, with the number of candidates who have successfully registered for the exam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize 3 exam sessions over 2 days, May 16-17, at 32 exam locations in Hanoi and 10 other provinces and cities including Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, and Da Nang .

This exam session had the largest number of testing locations ever. The cluster with the highest number of candidates was at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with a total of over 3,000 candidates.

The newly opened examination center in the third phase, for candidates from the Northwest region (Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien , etc.), is located at Northwest University and has a minimum of 107 candidates.

For the more than 1,500 candidates taking the exam at the TSA headquarters of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, candidates will experience a super-fast automated check-in system with a duration of approximately 10 seconds per candidate.

Representatives from Hanoi University of Science and Technology stated that preparations for the exam have been completed by the university and its collaborating units.

All candidates have received exam notification via their registered MyTSA accounts. Candidates should carefully check the required arrival time and address at the exam location. Please note that candidates are only allowed to bring personal identification documents, pens, pencils, rulers, and compasses into the exam room; calculators without text editing functions, memory cards, or wireless communication capabilities are not permitted.

Weapons, explosives, flammable materials, alcoholic beverages, documents, devices capable of transmitting or receiving signals or images, devices capable of recording or taking pictures, or devices containing information that could be used to cheat during the exam and grading process, including wristwatches or other devices contrary to regulations, are not allowed in the examination room.

Candidates should remember to bring their Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) for a convenient and quick check-in process. Approximately 10 days after the exam, candidates will know their results on their MyTSA account.

From 2026, in the talent-based admission method under category 1.3, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will replace the academic performance score from the high school transcript with the TSA exam score.

Therefore, candidates wishing to apply for admission to Hanoi University of Science and Technology through the talent-based admission method are required to have a TSA score to complete the registration process. The timelines for the 2026 talent-based admission process have been announced.
