A large workforce is needed.

The labor market in Thai Nguyen province is booming. The province currently has over 13,000 businesses and more than 1,200 cooperatives, all requiring a large workforce to maintain production and business operations. Despite continuously advertising job openings, many businesses, especially those in industrial zones and clusters, still face difficulties in securing labor, particularly unskilled workers.

According to a recent survey by the Provincial Employment Service Center of 600 businesses, most have a need to recruit and supplement labor for production and business, mainly in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, and garment manufacturing. The total labor demand of businesses is nearly 10,000 people in the second quarter and more than 20,000 people in the last months of the year.

Specifically, at 200 businesses in Phan Dinh Phung, Gia Sang, and Tich Luong wards, the immediate recruitment need is 651 workers, and over 850 workers in the third and fourth quarters. At 140 businesses in Song Cong, Bach Quang, and Ba Xuyen wards, the immediate recruitment need is nearly 1,900 workers, and 1,969 workers in the remaining months of the year.

A survey of 140 businesses in Pho Yen, Van Xuan, and Trung Thanh wards revealed an immediate recruitment need of 2,645 workers and over 2,800 workers from now until the end of the year. Specifically, 20 businesses in Diem Thuy and Kha Son communes need to recruit 2,316 workers and 2,663 workers from now until the end of the year.

Different sectors have varying labor recruitment needs. The highest demand is in the electronics and electrical engineering sector, requiring 3,158 workers (34.33%); followed by mechanical engineering with 1,625 workers (17.67%). Next are the garment and footwear sector with 1,850 workers (20.12%); and construction and transportation with 758 workers (8.24%). Sectors with lower recruitment needs include: Business and trade with 662 workers (7.19%); and service sector with 633 workers (6.88%), with the remainder in other areas of activity.

The workforce that businesses are interested in recruiting includes workers in electronic component manufacturing, industrial garment manufacturing; security service personnel; trained workers; electrical and electronic technicians, highly skilled engineers, financial specialists, and production managers.

The salaries paid by businesses to employees are based on each individual's skills and actual work performance. Specifically: 78.1% of unskilled or semi-skilled workers are paid between 5-10 million VND/person/month. 21.6% of workers are paid between 10-20 million VND/person/month.

These include skilled workers, technicians, middle managers, or office staff. The highest earners are those in senior management positions, technical experts, production managers, and technology specialists, who are paid between 20-50 million VND per person per month, accounting for 0.3%, mainly in foreign-invested companies or large enterprises.

Continuous recruitment to fill vacant positions.

In the final months of the year, the need to replace personnel, mainly unskilled laborers, along with the phenomenon of voluntary resignations and job changes, forces businesses to continuously recruit to fill vacant positions. It is predicted that the sectors most likely to need to recruit a large number of workers include: construction, textiles, electronics, transportation and warehousing, and steel.

Businesses located in the province are urgently recruiting a large number of workers, such as: Grand Leisure Outdoor Products Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Binh Industrial Park) needs 810 workers for the production and assembly of outdoor furniture; TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company needs 2,000 technical staff, machine supervisors, quality control personnel, and industrial sewing workers; Chungjye Bac Kan Shoe Manufacturing Co., Ltd., located in Bac Kan ward, needs 300 machine operators for leather and footwear production.

In particular, three businesses located in Bac Ninh province have registered to immediately recruit a large number of workers (10,000 workers each) through the Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center, including: Geortek Vina Co., Ltd. recruiting electronic component manufacturing workers; Hong Hai Science and Technology Group - Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. recruiting engineers, technicians, and electronic component manufacturing staff; and LUXSHARE-ICT Co., Ltd. recruiting electronic component assembly workers.

Meanwhile, Brother Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., located in Phuc Dien Industrial Park (Hai Phong City), is looking to recruit 1,000 technicians for infrastructure and equipment manufacturing, and mold making workshops.

To attract workers, many businesses commit to fully implementing health insurance, social insurance, and unemployment insurance schemes for employees as required by law, while also applying some of their own preferential policies to attract and retain talent.

Acting as a labor market connector, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center strengthens activities connecting labor supply and demand, effectively supporting businesses and workers through job fairs and online and in-person job exchanges. This allows workers and employers to meet directly to discuss and negotiate job terms, salaries, and benefits, and helps businesses quickly recruit sufficient human resources.
