Training on teaching methods that meet learning outcomes.

To enhance the capacity for developing teaching plans and assessment methods aligned with the requirements of educational quality accreditation in the current period, on May 22, 2026, the University of Agriculture and Forestry - Thai Nguyen University organized a training program on teaching methods that meet output standards for lecturers and management staff of training units throughout the university.

The program was attended by senior experts and speakers from Hanoi : Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - Former Rector of Hanoi Pedagogical University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuong Duy Hai - Head of the Department of Teaching Methods, Hanoi Pedagogical University.

On the part of the University of Agriculture and Forestry, the training program was attended by the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, leaders of faculties, institutes, and centers, along with a large number of lecturers directly involved in teaching. The training program was implemented with the goal of helping lecturers update modern teaching methods, focusing on the learner, while also enhancing their capacity to design, organize, and evaluate teaching and learning activities oriented towards developing learners' competencies, in line with the learning outcomes of each training program.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the program.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University - emphasized that building and implementing courses based on learning outcomes is a crucial requirement to improve the quality of education and meet the needs of society and the labor market. In the context of higher education shifting strongly towards a competency-based training model, innovation in teaching methods and assessment plays a key role in ensuring that learners achieve the competencies set out in the training objectives.

During the training session, senior experts shared many practical contents such as: an overview of learning outcomes, course design, and curriculum development; guidance on designing lectures oriented towards developing learners' competencies and meeting learning outcomes; designing assessment methods that meet learning outcomes; and practical exercises in building learning activities and organizing classes.

In addition to theoretical content, the program also allocated time for lecturers to exchange ideas, discuss and address difficulties in the teaching process, analyze specific situations, and practice building lesson plans based on learning outcomes. Many contributions were shared, helping to clarify difficulties and obstacles and proposing solutions to improve implementation effectiveness at training units.

Through this training program, the faculty of the University of Agriculture and Forestry has been equipped with additional knowledge, skills, and methods necessary to improve the quality of teaching, contributing to the effective achievement of the goal of training high-quality human resources in the fields of agriculture , forestry, environmental resources, technology, and rural development.
