Focus on preparing well for the announcement ceremony of the National Assembly's resolution on provincial merger

Here, the provincial leaders discussed and briefly reported on the program of the ceremony to announce the resolutions of the National Assembly , the decisions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, and establishing Party organizations and the Fatherland Front at the provincial and communal levels.

Accordingly, the new Bac Ninh province is expected to hold a ceremony to announce resolutions and decisions from 8:00 a.m. on June 30; in the afternoon of the same day, a ceremony to announce commune-level models will be held simultaneously at 18 locations in districts, towns, and cities of the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang . On the evening of June 30, a cultural program and fireworks display will be held to celebrate at two central locations in Bac Giang city and Bac Ninh city.

Up to now, Bac Giang province is ready to operate a two-level local government from July 1, 2025; has a plan to arrange working headquarters and working facilities to serve the work of the units.

The working group inspected the actual situation at the Reception and Results Department of Dinh Ke Ward (Bac Giang City).

The province has stepped up propaganda so that cadres, party members, union members, youth union members and people of all walks of life clearly understand, agree with and well implement the policy of rearranging provincial-level administrative units; and build a model of organizing a two-level local government.

Next, the working group inspected and grasped the situation of preparations for the announcement ceremony of resolutions and decisions in Dinh Ke ward (Bac Giang city). This is one of the localities that merged into Bac Giang ward after the merger. Representatives of Bac Giang city leaders reported to the working group on the preparation of conditions for arranging working offices of new communes and wards after the merger, the preparation of the announcement ceremony as well as the operation of the new model from July 1, 2025.

To ensure the announcement ceremony as well as the effective operation of the 2-level local government model, the leaders of Bac Giang province and city proposed to the working delegation to recommend to the Central Government and the Government to continue reviewing, supplementing and editing inappropriate regulations in handling administrative procedures to be closer to the actual situation. Promote the application of information technology, digital transformation... to support professional work, have unity in the use and exploitation of artificial intelligence nationwide, ensuring synchronization, effectiveness and efficiency.

The comrades in the working group acknowledged the province's proactive and responsible spirit; requested Bac Giang to continue completing the preparation work and steps to be ready to operate immediately after the merger. Regarding the province's proposals and recommendations, the working group will forward them to the Central Government and the Government for consideration and resolution.
