At 4 PM on November 20th, in Bien Hoa ( Dong Nai ), military vehicles sped through the cold, foggy night. With 100 hearts focused on Lam Dong, the convoy arrived in Cat Tien commune at 11 PM. Immediately, task forces were formed and assigned rescue missions.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Thong, Commander of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Bao Lam, said, "During the night, Dong Nai 4 and Dong Nai 5 hydropower plants were releasing water at high flow rates, causing the water level to rise rapidly. In Cat Tien 2 commune, there were 8 areas experiencing localized flooding, and 3 villages were cut off; in Cat Tien commune, there were 5 areas experiencing localized flooding."

Teams from the 25th Engineering Brigade quickly arrived at isolated residential areas, bringing rescue boats and canoes. They coordinated with forces from the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command and local forces to evacuate property and people to safe areas. In the pitch-black night, the small flashlights on the soldiers' foreheads became a guiding light for the people. Guided by local militia, they knocked on every door, carefully helping the elderly and children onto the boats. Once the people were safe, the soldiers returned to help move belongings and vehicles; from simple items to valuable possessions like refrigerators and televisions – everything was transported to dry places by the soldiers.

Without the soldiers, our family would have lost everything. We will always cherish this kindness.
Ms. Hoang Thuy Hoa, a resident of Cat Tien commune.

At Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh's house, 45 dairy cows were trapped in the floodwaters. Soldiers helped guide each cow out of the water, ensuring the family's safety. The soldiers were exhausted but still wore smiles as they assisted the villagers.
We haven't slept for 24 hours. But the fatigue is nothing compared to the loss suffered by our fellow citizens. As long as there's work to be done, we'll keep working. Only when everyone is safe can my colleagues and I rest easy.
Sergeant Nguyen Thanh Toan (741st Battalion)

Lieutenant Colonel Phung Danh Dien, Deputy Brigade Commander and Chief of Staff of Brigade 25, affirmed: "We will stay with the local community until no one needs help anymore. When the water recedes, the unit will continue to assist with cleaning up and helping people stabilize their lives."
"Rest assured, the soldiers have arrived."

In areas where floodwaters have receded, forces continue to assist with cleanup and environmental remediation so that people can return to normal life as soon as possible.
Every action of the officers and soldiers is not only a "command from the heart" but also an expression of affection and responsibility towards the people. The image of soldiers wading through raging floods once again affirms the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" – always standing side by side, protecting and accompanying the people in all circumstances.
