High-speed boat runs on Ha Long - Cat Ba route with price of 250,000 VND one way

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee said the high-speed train route was tested on October 18 at Ha Long International Passenger Port. It is expected to officially run from November 15.

According to the operator, the ship departs at 7:30 a.m. every day from Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, Ha Long City, arriving at Dong Ho Bay in the center of Cat Ba Town, Hai Phong City, at 8:30 a.m. After that, the ship continues to take passengers to Dong Bai Port and returns to Dong Ho Bay. The return trip to Ha Long International Passenger Port departs at 3:00 p.m. the same day.

It takes locals and tourists only about an hour to travel from Ha Long to Cat Ba town center at a price of 250,000 VND per person one way.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, this is the first modern high-speed sea passenger transport route to be exploited, connecting the heritage area of ​​Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago. This route uses a double-hull high-speed boat designed according to European standards, with a capacity of 300 passengers and many entertainment facilities. The boat has a maximum speed of 28 nautical miles per hour, high stability, noise resistance, anti-seasickness, and can operate in bad weather conditions, wind force 7.

The high-speed ferry route connecting Ha Long - Cat Ba will help people and tourists have more interesting experiences, reduce traffic and pressure on ferry routes which are very crowded on weekends, and at the same time, strengthen the connection between Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba archipelago after being recognized as a World Natural Heritage.
