In the middle of autumn, the atmosphere in Muong Khuong commune is very cool. On weekends, young people look for places with beautiful scenery to visit, experience, and organize group activities.
For many tourists, Ta Lam waterfall is an ideal destination because it is only about 2 km from the center of Muong Khuong commune, and is located right next to the concrete road to the old Nam Chay commune, convenient for traveling.
From afar, you can admire the whole view of Ta Lam waterfall flowing down from the ravine, white as a silk strip. On both sides of the waterfall are mountains, like dragons swooping down.
The beauty of Ta Lam waterfall lies in its wildness and majesty. This is one of the highest waterfalls on the upper reaches of the Chay River.
From the ravine, the waterfall rushes down with a height of about 100 m, creating white foam. On sunny days, looking through the white mist, one can see a beautiful rainbow of colors.

Right at the foot of the waterfall is a natural pool that was formed long ago. The pool has clear blue water with a white sand and stone base, surrounded by rocks of many different shapes.
The water level here is not too deep but enough for people and tourists to bathe and swim quite comfortably. Because the water flows down from the high rocky mountains, is purified through the crevices of the rocks so it is always clear and clean, bringing comfort and relaxation to tourists.
On the weekend, Ms. Mua Thi Po La from Son La province and her friends went to Ta Lam waterfall to bathe and play in the clear blue water. Around noon, Ms. Mua Thi Po La's group grilled chicken and sausages to organize a very impressive small party right next to the majestic waterfall.
Ms. Mua Thi Po La shared: The water at Ta Lam waterfall is very cool, the scenery is very beautiful. We came here to hold a very happy and impressive birthday party.
For adventurous tourists when exploring Ta Lam waterfall, they can conquer the 100 m high waterfall peak, then explore the beauty of the pristine forests on the mountain top.
This place seems to have not been touched by human intervention, there are still patches of perennial trees such as hooks, ancient ferns, wild bananas... green all year round. The higher you go, the more wild, majestic and mysterious the mountain scenery becomes.

Mr. Lu Hoang Sang, Muong Khuong commune, Lao Cai province said: My family lives in Muong Khuong commune, so I often go to Ta Lam waterfall with my friends to organize small parties. In the fall and summer, it is very suitable to go to Ta Lam waterfall to swim, the water is clear and cool. I hope that the locality and businesses will pay attention to investing in building this area to be more spacious and beautiful to attract tourists.
Previously, when the road to the old Nam Chay commune was still difficult, Ta Lam waterfall was like a sleeping princess in the deep forest, little known. Since the road was widened, many people and tourists have come to Ta Lam waterfall to sightsee, bathe and experience the fresh air here.
Ta Lam Waterfall with its majestic beauty on the upper Nam Thi River has become a familiar destination for many tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong Khuong Commune, Lao Cai Province said: We have called on a number of businesses to invest in the Ta Lam waterfall area.
Currently, some businesses have surveyed, evaluated and are planning to work with Muong Khuong commune to invest in Ta Lam waterfall in the near future.
