Currently, Thai Nguyen province ranks 6th out of 34 in terms of export volume nationwide, behind Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, and Dong Nai.

Thai Nguyen Customs always stands alongside businesses in their import and export activities.

In 2025, export activities will continue to affirm their role as one of the important pillars of Thai Nguyen province's economy , contributing positively to overall growth and enhancing the province's position in the national economy. It is estimated that the total value of goods exported from the province in 2025 will reach US$29.93 billion, an increase of 9% compared to the same period last year and achieving 99.6% of the plan. Of this, local exports are estimated at US$756.8 million, an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period and achieving 98.9% of the plan; the foreign-invested economic sector is expected to reach approximately US$29.2 billion, an increase of 9.2% compared to the same period.
