Then, Minh Quang and Huu Tuan respectively raised the score to 3-0 after the first half.

In the second half, Thai Son Bac continued to show their superior strength. Ngoc Anh shone brightly with two consecutive goals, completing a hat-trick on the opening day.

Besides, Minh Quang, Van Tuan and Lam Toi also scored their names on the scoreboard, ending the resounding 8-0 victory for the team from the capital.

In the remaining match, Sahako defeated Ho Chi Minh City Youth with a score of 2-1 in a tight match.

The following events witnessed the efforts of both teams, but the situation was only decided in the 34th minute, when Marco Antonio Moreira - Sahako's foreign player - scored the winning goal 2-1.

With this result, both Thai Son Bac and Sahako won all 3 points, temporarily sharing the top two positions in Group B after the first round of matches.

Meanwhile, Tre TP.HCM and Luxury Ha Long will have to try harder in the next matches if they want to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive.

This afternoon, August 5, the tournament will continue with 2 matches in group A: Saigon Titans - Tan Hiep Hung (3:30 p.m.) and Hanoi - Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City (5:30 p.m.).
