On May 26th, a delegation from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, led by Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, visited and presented gifts to congratulate on the occasion of the 2026 Buddha's Birthday Celebration (Buddhist calendar 2570). The delegation included Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; representatives from provincial departments and agencies; and representatives from several religious organizations in the province.

During his visits, Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, extended best wishes to the religious leaders, officials, monks, nuns, Buddhists, and followers for a peaceful and happy Buddha's Birthday; informed them of some outstanding achievements of the province in the past period, as well as outlining breakthrough directions, projects and works the province is focusing on building and attracting investment to promote the province's development in the coming time; and the success of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 1st Provincial Buddhist Congress for the 2026-2031 term… At the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province and the Pure Land Buddhist Lay Association of the province in social welfare work, building national unity, and accompanying the locality in socio -economic development in the past.
Affirming that the province always pays attention to and creates favorable conditions for religious activities to take place in accordance with the law and meet the legitimate religious needs of the people, Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai expressed his hope that in the coming time, religions will continue to demonstrate their role and prestige in strengthening national unity and inter-religious solidarity to propagate and mobilize religious leaders and followers to work together with the Party Committee, government and people to build a developed Vinh Long province.

Representatives of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province and the Executive Board of the Pure Land Lay Buddhist Association of Vietnam of the province expressed their gratitude for the attention and support of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, and various departments and agencies, which enabled the religions to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks. They also affirmed that they will continue to encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to abide by the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and to perform actions that benefit both religion and society; working together in the construction and development of the province and the country.
