Nursing is often described as "serving a hundred masters," because the people nurses interact with are patients. Each patient is unique, from their illnesses to their thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors. Therefore, caring for, connecting with, and empathizing with them is no easy task. Sleepless nights, brief naps at lunchtime, hurried meals of rice and noodles, and constant rushing to overcome physical exhaustion while diligently caring for the health and well-being of patients—these have become the daily routines of nurses.
I once read a saying, "Do ordinary things with extraordinary determination." And nurses—they silently dedicate themselves to life with extraordinary willpower. They are mothers to sick children, confidants to young patients, and daughters and granddaughters to elderly patients…
For obstetric nurses, they understand every agonizing pain a mother experiences, shed tears with a newborn, and share joyful smiles with the family when both mother and child are healthy. Afterward, they silently continue their work, welcoming other children into the world safely.
Alongside doctors in caring for the health of these little angels, nurses—like second mothers—cherish and love newborns in every small action.
For critically ill patients, nurses tirelessly care for them day and night, accompanying them through the pain of illness...
...and they must always be urgent, quick, accurate, and proactive in order to fight for the patient's life.
For them, it's not just a job – it's a noble mission, for the health of patients…
In addition to carrying out doctors' orders, nurses also directly interact with, visit, encourage, and care for patients, attending to their meals, sleep, and even daily personal hygiene.
Despite the hardships and difficulties, with their deep love for people and their profession, the nursing staff always wholeheartedly care for and serve patients with the utmost dedication, working alongside doctors and nurses to effectively treat patients.
The dedication and silent sacrifices of nurses have contributed in a small way to helping patients recover quickly and return to their families sooner.
On International Nurses Day, May 12th, we send our best wishes to all nurses. We wish you good health, happiness, and success; may you continue to strive and maintain your passion for the profession, fulfilling your mission of caring for the health of the people.
