Furthermore, restoring closer ties with its immediate neighbor is now a pressing need for Türkiye and a favorable opportunity for the wealthy oil-producing kingdoms in the Gulf region.

Erdogan was recently re-elected, but only by a very narrow margin. Turkey remains in a difficult economic, social, financial, and monetary situation. The crucial issue that Erdogan must address quickly is seeking external financial aid and investment to boost growth, curb inflation, and stabilize the socio -political environment . Turkey maintains good cooperative relations with Qatar. However, with the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Erdogan must show humility and goodwill, rather than acting superior. Beyond these close neighbors, Turkey will struggle to find allies or partners willing to provide significant financial aid and investment without imposing difficult political preconditions.
The neighboring monarchies see in Erdogan's current predicament an opportunity to explore and conquer markets, to bind Türkiye to regional alliances or coalitions they initiate. Furthermore, these monarchies need Turkey to counter Iran. Suspicion and prejudice between the two sides remain, but pragmatism and practical interests are prevailing.
