Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital cooperates in expertise and training with AJOU University Hospital (Korea)

On November 6, 2025, Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital had a meeting to exchange expertise and cooperate in training with AJOU University Hospital (Korea).

Welcoming the delegation were Dr. Tran Anh Cuong - Hospital Director, along with members of the Board of Directors and leaders of relevant departments and offices.

On the side of Ajou University Hospital (Korea), the delegation was led by Professor Sang-Hyun Lim - Director of the Office of Planning and Coordination with members.

The two units took a souvenir photo of the working trip, exchanged expertise and cooperated in training.

At the meeting, the two hospitals discussed their outstanding achievements, especially in the development of modern and specialized techniques. Both units also evaluated and recognized the cooperation process over the past years (from 2009 to present). Accordingly, Ajou University Hospital has trained 15 doctors and nurses for the Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, coordinated to organize an international conference on digestive endoscopy and health check-ups for more than 500 people. These practical results not only contributed to improving the professional capacity of the hospital's medical staff, promoting the development of high technology at the hospital, but also further tightened the friendly relationship and medical cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.

Dr. Tran Anh Cuong - Director of Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital expressed his appreciation for the cooperative relationship with Ajou Hospital.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed and agreed on the direction to promote cooperation in the coming time, focusing on specialized training in the field of organ transplantation, scientific research and transfer of modern techniques such as robotic surgery - a strength of Ajou Hospital.

Representatives of Ajou Hospital expressed their impression of the dynamic and professional development of the Vietnamese medical team and affirmed their desire to accompany the Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital for a long time in the journey of improving the quality of healthcare and voluntary medical examination and treatment.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Tran Anh Cuong, Director of Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, expressed his appreciation for the cooperative relationship with Ajou Hospital. “Exchanging and learning experiences in specialized fields such as organ transplantation and robotic surgery is a valuable opportunity for the hospital's medical staff to access modern techniques, aiming to improve the quality of treatment and bring practical benefits to patients,” Dr. Tran Anh Cuong emphasized.
