People's Mobilization Month in Kha Cuu

In 2024, Thanh Son district selected Kha Cuu commune to implement its mass mobilization program, marking the second time this commune has been chosen. With the contributions of various levels, sectors, and units within the district, the local Party committee and government have skillfully mobilized the people's strength and collective efforts to create a new face for Kha Cuu.

Thanks to the implementation of the People's Mobilization Month, rural roads in the Buong area are gradually being completed, making travel more convenient for the people.

According to Bui Ngoc Ha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kha Cuu commune: "In implementing the plans and programs of the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee on the mass mobilization program of the entire political system in the district, we have held meetings, developed plans, assigned specific tasks to each organization and individual, and mobilized the participation of the people to effectively carry out mass mobilization work. We strive to complete all tasks according to the plan by October 30th."

In the 2024 mass mobilization work program, the Ngán and Câu Chùa cultural centers will be newly built, the Bương cultural center will be renovated; and houses will be built and renovated for 7 households with particularly difficult circumstances in the Măng Chẵng, Ngán, Sinh Dưới, Câu Chùa, Hắm, and Chuôi areas. For the 2 poor households unable to contribute to the construction, the assigned commune leaders will directly monitor, encourage, and mobilize additional resources to help these poor households obtain sturdy houses.

According to Ha Van Khoa, head of Ngan hamlet: "Recognizing the importance of the community mobilization program for Kha Cuu commune in general and Ngan hamlet in particular, we have mobilized residents to contribute labor and over 300 million VND to build a new community center, create a landscaped area, and purchase equipment for community activities. We have also encouraged residents to participate in many other tasks within the program, and everyone has responded positively."

In addition to building cultural centers and solidarity houses, 1,850 meters of roads in the Ham, Buong, and Lan areas were also constructed with contributions from residents and militia forces from Thuong Cuu, Dong Cuu, and Kha Cuu communes. The efforts of the people and forces from the communes and districts transformed the previously dusty and muddy roads into clean, beautiful concrete roads. The completed concrete roads facilitate convenient travel for residents, especially making it safer and easier for students to get to school.

In addition, the district's departments, agencies, and socio-political organizations coordinate to open training courses to improve knowledge on population and reproductive health care; disseminate information on flood and landslide prevention during the rainy season, fire prevention and control, and safe, economical, and efficient electricity use; organize free medical examinations, treatment, and medicine distribution for policy beneficiaries and poor households; clean up the public environment; train and guide farmers on scientific and technical knowledge; encourage people to change farming practices; actively transform the structure of crops and livestock; and guide people in building some economic development models suitable to the local conditions.

With the involvement of the entire political system and the enthusiastic contributions of the people in the commune, nearly 80% of the work has been completed. Residents in the residential areas held meetings to discuss and agree on contribution levels and specific tasks, thereby creating consensus and actively participating in the effective implementation of the mass mobilization program. The close coordination between the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations from the district to the grassroots level with agencies, units, and armed forces in building infrastructure, assisting the people in economic development, and poverty reduction has contributed to improving the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, strengthening the bond between the local Party Committee, government, and people, and making the appearance of Kha Cuu more vibrant.
