On the morning of January 29th, the Ministry of Construction, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, held an online conference to address difficulties and obstacles related to construction norms and unit prices; and the exploitation and supply of construction materials for key national transport projects and works. Attending the conference from the Thai Binh branch were Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders from several relevant departments, agencies, and localities.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 02/CD-TTg on focusing on resolving difficulties and obstacles related to construction norms and unit prices; exploitation and supply of construction materials for key national transportation projects. Specifically, it requires the chairmen of provincial People's Committees to direct relevant agencies and units to promptly publish construction price indices, construction material prices, and construction labor unit prices, ensuring they are complete, consistent with market prices, and in accordance with legal regulations. The People's Committee of Thai Binh province has issued Official Letter No. 195/UBND-CTXDGT implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 02; in which, it requires relevant departments and agencies to regularly monitor and closely follow developments in the construction market in the province to promptly update, adjust, and publish construction material prices and construction price indices to reflect the current market conditions. Strengthen inspection, supervision, control, and strict management of construction material prices, especially at active construction material mines. Violations will be resolutely dealt with in accordance with the law.

Representatives from ministries, sectors, and localities participated in discussions to identify and clarify difficulties and obstacles, as well as tasks that need to be focused on in the coming period related to construction norms and unit prices, and the issue of exploiting and supplying construction materials for key national transportation projects and works.
