Teachers also need to control their emotions.

When some teachers are blameworthy

School violence is a serious problem in the educational environment and is becoming more and more serious when teachers participate in "demonstrations". Recently, the issue of "teachers beating and scolding students" continues to be a hot topic in society such as: Hanoi teacher grabbing chin, insulting student; homeroom teacher grabbing shirt, dragging female student into class; English teacher using "you" and "I"; student being beaten by teacher with bamboo stick...

These incidents show the "instability" of school culture, in which school violence has become a huge challenge in the process of building a healthy and friendly school culture.

A clip of a teacher standing on the podium, pointing at a student's face, grabbing his chin and calling him "you" and scolding him with offensive language has caused a stir on social media since early October.

Author Tran Nhan Trung, in an article published in Thanh Nien Newspaper on October 23, stated that the common cause of school violence is that students do not know how to control themselves when faced with unusual situations.

Reality also shows that school violence when teachers are the ones "demonstrating" is not beyond the basic cause of lack of sympathy and lack of emotional control. Most teachers who "demonstrate" school violence have not thoroughly investigated the cause of the incident, understood the students' difficulties, and did not put themselves in the students' situation. This leads to words and actions that are not standard and not suitable for the pedagogical environment.

Many people think that we should review the current teacher training program. Is it true that the training program is too focused on professional training and neglects the moral education of teachers?

Control emotions to maintain teacher image

In some places, the pedagogical environment is being polluted by the phenomenon of teachers behaving unethically, creating "bad examples" in schools.

To prevent school violence, first of all the bad examples from some teachers, the most important issue is to continue to rectify teachers' ethics and educate teachers' ideology.

In the regulations on teachers' ethics, the Ministry of Education and Training clearly states that teachers need to be compassionate, tolerant, generous, and treat students gently; not violate the body, insult the honor, and dignity of students, colleagues, and others... Besides, in our country's culture, the tradition of "respecting teachers" is always promoted, with beautiful memories of teacher-student relationships.

School violence is a major challenge for the education sector.

Therefore, teachers who have anti-educational and anti-pedagogical actions must be severely punished. This also helps other teachers to practice and control their emotions in order to maintain the image of teachers.

The learning environment in schools promotes respect, safety and personal development of all students. Teachers play an important role in promoting school culture. Therefore, teachers must demonstrate behavior that respects school ethics and controls their emotions to create a safe and non-violent learning environment.

According to psychologists, emotional intelligence is the ability to understand one's own emotions, understand and recognize the emotions of others; the ability to control one's own emotions for the benefit of others, and control and regulate the emotions of others. Failure to control oneself can lead to negative reactions, causing unpredictable consequences.

Therefore, teachers need to control their emotions to find reasonable solutions to problems caused by students. Control your emotions, calmly understand the situation, and sometimes put yourself in the student's shoes to find a solution to the problem to avoid falling into a situation where "you are also the one to blame".
