Teacher who beat his wife, causing her to be hospitalized, has been reprimanded.

In Dak Lak, Mr. Nguyen Vu Hoang Long, a teacher in Buon Don district, was reprimanded by the school for assaulting his wife, resulting in her hospitalization.

On June 5th, representatives from Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Primary School stated that the school had held a meeting and unanimously agreed on a disciplinary measure of reprimand for Mr. Long regarding his act of domestic violence .

Three weeks ago, on May 14th, Mr. Long and his wife (a kindergarten teacher) had an argument. During the argument, Mr. Long hit his wife, causing multiple injuries to her head and face, which required her hospitalization.

In his statement, Mr. Long said he hit his wife because he was frustrated and angry about conflicts in their married life. He had previously suggested divorce several times, but his wife refused.

According to the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, violators, depending on the nature and severity of the offense, may be subject to administrative penalties, disciplinary action, or criminal prosecution.
