More internship opportunities for students in the UK.

(NLĐO) - After 20 years of cooperation, the International University (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) and the University of West of England (UK) have trained 3,520 students.

On November 29th, the International University and the University of West of England celebrated 20 years of collaborative training. Over the past 20 years, the two universities have achieved many positive results, including training 3,520 students together.

At the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu, Vice Rector of the International University, affirmed that higher education cooperation between the university and its UK partners has been making a positive contribution to promoting the internationalization process in the university's training and research.

In 2005, the joint training program between the two universities officially began operating. Throughout that time, the two universities have strived to cooperate and exchange information to develop increasingly high-quality and similar training programs.

On this occasion, the two universities signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both sides agreed to promote the implementation of cooperation projects and programs in areas such as: Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, sustainable infrastructure and climate change adaptation; and to develop scientific research models that bring academic value to both sides.

In addition, the two sides will also implement master's and doctoral training programs for faculty members of the International University under Government Decree 89; cooperate in student exchange programs under bilateral agreements (credit exchange), and organize internship programs for International University students in the UK and vice versa.

"The university always values ​​and considers the University of West of England - UK as one of its strategic partners. In the future, the parties will continue to cooperate in implementing new models, collaborating on research; cooperating in teaching (in the form of visiting lecturers) and other activities to provide more choices for students," Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu emphasized.

The International University currently has over 10,000 undergraduate students and more than 800 postgraduate students and researchers. The university offers 23 undergraduate programs, 11 master's programs, and 5 doctoral programs. The International University is one of the earliest higher education institutions in Vietnam to achieve international accreditation.

The University of West of England is ranked 4th in the South West of England overall. It is also the 6th largest provider of scholarships among UK universities.
