The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place over two days, June 6th and 7th, with 96,325 registered candidates. Of these, 88,237 candidates registered for the regular 10th grade exam, and approximately 8,000 candidates registered for the specialized or integrated 10th grade exam.

Candidates must be present at the examination site before 9:30 AM on June 5th to complete the registration procedures, review the examination regulations, and verify their personal information. Candidates will take the exams in order: Vietnamese language and literature, foreign language, mathematics (if registering for a regular 10th grade class), and specialized/integrated subjects (if registering for a specialized/integrated school/class).

According to regulations from the Department of Education and Training, candidates are only allowed to bring writing pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, slide rules, and pocket calculators without text editing functions or memory cards into the examination room.

This year, the Department of Education and Training has arranged 158 examination centers for 10th grade (147 regular centers and 11 specialized centers) with 4,102 examination rooms; mobilizing 12,306 officials, teachers, and staff, along with the support of the police and medical forces, to participate in organizing the exam.

Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that examination centers must ensure safety, arrange backup examination rooms and medical rooms; arrange a separate area for storing candidates' personal belongings and prohibited materials and items from the examination room.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training requires that examination sites be cleaned and disinfected before the exam. During the exam days, examination sites must ensure adequate facilities, hygiene, drinking water, and staff to serve before, during, and after the exam.

According to the Department of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh City currently has 128 educational institutions enrolling 10th-grade students, including continuing education and vocational training centers, private schools, and vocational secondary schools, with an enrollment target of over 50,000 students.
