The 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on June 6 and 7 with 96,325 candidates registering for the exam. Of these, 88,237 candidates will register for the regular 10th grade exam and about 8,000 candidates will register for the specialized and integrated 10th grade exam.
Candidates must be present at the examination site before 9:30 a.m. on June 5 to complete the registration procedures, participate in the examination regulations and check personal information. Candidates will take the exams in literature, foreign language, math (if registering for regular grade 10) and specialized and integrated subjects (if registering for specialized and integrated schools and classes).
According to regulations of the Department of Education and Training, candidates are only allowed to bring into the exam room pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, calculators without word processing functions, and no memory cards.

This year, the Department of Education and Training arranged 158 10th grade exam sites (147 regular exam sites and 11 specialized exam sites) with 4,102 exam rooms; mobilized 12,306 officers, teachers, and employees with the support of the police and medical forces to participate in organizing the exam.
Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that testing locations must ensure safety, arrange backup testing rooms, medical rooms; arrange areas to store candidates' personal belongings and documents and items that are not allowed in the testing room, separate from the testing room area.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training requires that testing sites be cleaned and disinfected before the exam. During the exam days, testing sites must ensure facilities, hygiene, drinking water, and service staff before, during, and after the exam.
It is known that the enrollment target for grade 10 of 114 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City this year is more than 77,000 students. After the grade 10 entrance exam, there will be about 20,000 candidates who are not qualified to enter public schools.
If students are not admitted to public schools, they can choose the learning model that best suits their abilities and family circumstances.
The Department of Education and Training said that currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 128 educational institutions enrolling 10th graders, including continuing education centers, non-public schools, and vocational secondary schools with an enrollment target of more than 50,000 students.
