According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the total number of students registering for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year is 151,269. During the registration process, the Department of Education and Training recorded 45,263 adjustments to their preferences.
The total number of candidates applying for specialized, integrated, and special program classes in grade 10 is 11,354. Of these, the English specialized class has the highest number of applicants with 3,342 candidates, followed by the mathematics specialized class with 2,072 candidates and the literature specialized class with 1,368 candidates…
The city has 1,515 candidates eligible for direct admission to 10th grade in high schools according to regulations, including 100 students admitted directly due to national-level sports achievements, 3 students from very small ethnic minority groups, and 1,412 students with disabilities.
The exam took place at 242 testing locations with a total of 6,443 examination rooms. Simultaneously, the Department of Education and Training mobilized nearly 18,000 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in the examination process.
