According to experts at Vietcombank Securities Company, in yesterday's trading session, the VN-Index closed at a new high, but the overall trend of the index is still one of consolidation within the 1,900-1,940 point range.

While the Vingroup group's correction put pressure on the index, the gains in the banking, oil and gas sectors, and some other individual blue-chip stocks helped the index regain balance.

Investors are advised that, in addition to continuing to hold stocks that are rising sharply, they can look for opportunities to increase their holdings/open positions in stocks showing signs of a rebound after a period of tight consolidation and belonging to sectors that attract significant capital inflows compared to the general market. Some sectors to watch include: Banking, Securities, and Oil & Gas.

According to ASEAN Securities Company experts, technically, VN-Index is consolidating the main upward trend as it closed at 1,928 points, establishing a solid position on the MA10 and MA20 lines with the consensus from RSI (70) and MFI (58) indicators, showing that upward momentum and money flow are clearly improving.

With the green candle closing near the day's high, buyers are overwhelmingly in control, opening up the scenario that the index will continue its upward trend to test the 1,940-1,950 resistance zone in the coming sessions.

Given this situation, short-term investors should maintain a cautious strategy of increasing their holdings during corrections, avoiding chasing prices and prioritizing partial profit-taking when approaching resistance levels.

At the same time, focus on stock groups with unique stories, such as state divestment, economic development resolutions, market upgrade roadmaps, or offshore cycles.
