Attending the event were Ms. Lam Kieu Trinh - Vice President of the Provincial Tourism Association; Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuoc - Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the Town, along with many researchers, artists, artisans and more than 150 union members and youth in the town.
At the festival, cadres, union members and young people had the opportunity to exchange with researchers, artists and artisans about the unique features of folk culture on the Vam Co Dong River; Vietnamese maritime culture; folk beliefs about the sea; the lives of cadres and soldiers who stick to the sea, protect their homeland and the lives of people in coastal areas; the responsibility of union members and young people in protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands.
Coming to the festival, cadres, union members and young people can also enjoy art performances praising the love for the homeland, country and islands; folk art performances recreating the ritual of praying to Lady Thuy Long and the ritual of tossing ships (tossing on ships); experience the space of cultural heritage, traditional crafts and folk cuisine .
On this occasion, Gia Binh Ward Youth Union awarded First, Second and Third prizes to union members and young people participating in the wall newspaper contest about Vietnam's sea and islands.
