For the martial artists, the tournament is not only an opportunity to compete but also a chance to socialize and learn from each other. Many are wearing official martial arts uniforms and being judged by referees for the first time, a memorable experience. Some are very young, sometimes hesitant, lacking in skill, and suffering injuries that bring tears to their eyes, but they refuse to give up halfway through. They come to this arena with passion and the courage of youth.

Male martial artist Ly Huu Dien, who contributed the gold medal in Vovinam for the host team Chau Thanh, excitedly said: “ Coming to this tournament, I was determined to compete to the best of my ability, but in the spirit of ‘Unity - Honesty - Nobility’. When the match ended, I won the championship, and I felt very happy and joyful.”

A place for character development.

Beyond just professional aspects, organizing the tournament also provides an opportunity to educate young martial artists on character through the spirit of respecting their teachers, knowing when to lose , knowing when to win, and respecting their opponents. Female martial artist Vo Thi Anh Ngan, who contributed a gold medal in traditional martial arts to Thanh Tri district, shared: “ Before, I was very shy, but since practicing martial arts, I've become more confident and learned to control my emotions. When I stepped onto the competition mat, I was very nervous, but thanks to my teacher's encouragement, I was able to confidently perform my routine well and achieve the desired result .”

National Grandmaster Vo Van Tien - Head of the Traditional Martial Arts Club of Thanh Tri District, said: “Organizing tournaments like this not only creates opportunities for martial artists to compete, exchange ideas, learn from each other, and improve their professional skills, but also contributes to promoting the martial arts training movement in the province. Units and localities can discover and nurture young talents, preparing a force for future tournaments.”
