Avoiding early elimination

Before the final matchday, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club had only 1 point in the group stage of the 2024 Women's National Cup and was ranked 3rd in the standings. Huynh Nhu and her teammates were pushed into a corner. They had to win against Son La Club, and at the same time, Hanoi I Club had to lose to Ha Nam for Coach Kim Chi's team to advance.

On the afternoon of December 4th, the necessary condition was met. Hanoi I Club suffered a bitter 0-1 defeat when goalkeeper Kieu Oanh made a mistake, turning Tran Thi Duyen's cross into a goal. In the following match, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club needed to fulfill the sufficient condition: defeat Son La Club.

This was well within the capabilities of Coach Kim Chi's players. With a stronger squad, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club easily defeated their opponent with a score of 6-0. The goal scorers were Huynh Nhu (two goals), Hong Nhung, Phan Thi Trang, and Tuyet Ngan (two goals).

With this result, Huynh Nhu and her teammates advance to the semi-finals as the runner-up in Group A, facing the winner of Group B, Than KSVN. The match will take place on December 8th. In the other semi-final, Thai Nguyen Club will clash with Ha Nam.
