(PLVN) - For this year's April 30th - May 1st holiday, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced that students in the city will have 5 consecutive days off, from Wednesday, April 30th to Sunday, May 4th.

For officials, civil servants, and employees of the Department of Education and Training, the Education and Training Offices of districts, towns, and cities, as well as officials, teachers, staff, and students of kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, vocational education and continuing education centers, the Hanoi Education Cadre Training School, and other vocational education institutions... the holiday for the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day, and International Labor Day will be from April 30th to May 4th, and the working day will be swapped from May 2nd to April 26th.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training notes that units that do not follow a fixed Saturday and Sunday weekly holiday schedule should arrange their holiday schedule based on their specific programs and plans, in accordance with the law.

At the same time, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires the display of the national flag at agencies, units, and schools in accordance with regulations. Simultaneously, they must effectively implement disease prevention and control measures as directed by the City, maintaining readiness to deploy assigned plans and tasks from the City and the education sector.

During the holiday period, units must strictly adhere to duty rosters and security measures at offices and schools, coordinating closely with local police to implement necessary measures to ensure absolute safety of facilities, equipment, and fire prevention and control.

In addition, the units responsible for propaganda and education will disseminate information to students about practicing a civilized and elegant lifestyle, maintaining social order and safety, traffic safety; not participating in or encouraging illegal racing; and strictly adhering to codes of conduct in public places.

After the holiday, units need to immediately restore order and ensure that unit and school activities proceed according to plan, regulations, and guidance documents from the education sector.
