Announcement of the opening schedule of the Energy Manager and Energy Auditor Training Courses

The Department of Energy Conservation and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade , in collaboration with Vietnam Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company (VETS) and Bach Khoa Energy Conservation Joint Stock Company, organized training courses on “Energy Manager” and “Energy Auditor”. The training program is part of the annual activities of the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period 2019 - 2030.

The training courses aim to train a team of technical experts in energy management and energy auditing with functional and certified qualifications to perform consulting activities on energy saving and efficiency for key energy-using establishments and meet the requirements of the Law on Energy Saving and Efficiency. At the same time, to improve the capacity of trainees of energy service consulting units, consultants and managers of the Departments of Industry and Trade, Industrial Promotion Centers, Enterprises and energy-using establishments.

Energy Manager Training Course

The "Energy Manager" training course aims to provide knowledge on equipment management, operation, solutions to overcome and reduce energy costs at key energy-using facilities.

The training course is aimed at officers and employees of key and near-key energy-using facilities nationwide.

Training course duration:

- In Hanoi :

+ First course: from April 22 to April 26, 2024

+ Second course: from May 7 to May 11, 2024

- In Ho Chi Minh City : expected from May 20 to May 24, 2024

- In Da Nang: expected from May 20 to May 24, 2024

The "Energy Manager" training course is held in 3 regions: North - Central - South.

Participating in the training course, students will be trained according to the program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a team of lecturers who are leading experts in the field of energy from the Department of Energy Conservation and Sustainable Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade), University of Science and Technology, and University of Electricity.

Topic 8	Energy Saving Project Management
Topic 9	Exam

Energy Auditor Training Course

The "Energy Auditor" training course aims to support consulting units in training a team of technical experts to conduct functional energy audits, have practice certificates, conduct energy audits, and develop annual and 5-year planning reports.

Participants in the training course are university graduates or higher in the field of energy or related engineering, with at least 3 years of working experience in the energy field.

Training course duration:

- In Hanoi: expected from May 20 - May 31, 2024

- In Ho Chi Minh City: expected to take place from June 10 - June 21, 2024

At the end of the training course, students will be granted a practice certificate by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Contents of the training course "Energy Auditor"

Topic 1	Overview of Energy Audit; Documents and regulations related to the Law on economical and efficient use of energy
Topic 2	Efficient and economical use of electricity in electrical systems
Topic 3	Use electricity efficiently and economically for lighting
Topic 4	Efficient and economical use of electricity in industrial steam systems and industrial heating systems
Topic 5	Efficient and economical use of electricity in industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Topic 6	Efficient and economical use of electricity in pump and fan systems
Topic 7	Efficient and economical use of electricity in motor, inverter and control systems
Topic 8	Efficient and economical use of electricity in air compressor systems
Topic 9	Economic and financial analysis of energy saving projects
Topic 10	Survey and practice using equipment in energy auditing, Guide to analyzing field trip results and writing energy audit reports
Topic 11	Final exam.

Upon completion of the training course and passing the final exam, students will be granted an “Energy Manager” certificate and an “Energy Auditor” practice certificate by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
