The Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion said that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), in mid-September, the unit will continue to advise the City to organize the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024. The festival is organized to promote the beauty, cultural, historical and tourism values of the Capital. At the same time, exploit the uniqueness, attractiveness, honor the scenic spots, relics and heritage sites of the Capital Hanoi - an attractive, quality and safe tourist destination.
According to the plan, in addition to the opening ceremony and the art program "Autumn in Hanoi" taking place from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on September 13 at the stage of the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden, there will be about 150 booths participating in the Festival divided into areas according to design and staging along Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Le Thach Street and the Octagonal House area.
The highlights of the Festival are spaces and models introducing and promoting Hanoi's historical relics; spaces recreating the image of a bustling Hanoi filled with flags and flowers welcoming the victorious army back; the space "Hanoi 12 seasons of flowers"; areas introducing typical tourism products and destinations; spaces promoting craft village products and the culinary space "Fragrance of Hanoi".
In addition, there are booths to promote tourism in provinces and cities. Booths of international tourism agencies to introduce cultural and tourist destinations of countries, promoting bilateral tourism activities. Space for experiencing culture, art, entertainment and recreation "Hanoi - Youthful Life".
Within the framework of the program, there are also activities: parades and performances by the City Youth Union and 30 districts, towns and cities (lion and dragon dance of Thanh Oai district, Mid-Autumn lantern procession of Son Tay district, Dong Anh kite performance, Me Linh flowers, Te Tieu - My Duc dry puppet performance...).
Activities to introduce the culinary culture of Hanoians: introducing the art of making and enjoying West Lake lotus tea, traditional green rice products of Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Hang Than green rice cakes, Hang Duong dried apricots, Phu Thuong sticky rice, Phung spring rolls, Quan Ganh sticky rice cakes, Phu Nhi rice cakes, introducing traditional cuisine of Hanoians past and present. Folk dance activities, sports dancing; Ao Dai fashion show; children's parade, children's painting and children's painting exhibition. Activities to introduce products and cultural and tourist destinations take place on stage and at booths, focusing on some districts with potential for tourism development. Displaying and introducing Hanoi through photos with the theme "Hanoi Autumn - Historical Autumn" introducing documentary and reportage photos of Hanoi on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital at yard 3 in front of Ly Thai To monument.
Currently, Hanoi is the leading locality in the country in terms of the number of cultural heritages with nearly 6,000 cultural and historical relics; including 16 special national relics and relic clusters, nearly 1,200 relics ranked as national relics, especially the Central Relic Area of Thang Long Imperial Citadel recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a world cultural heritage. Exploiting the beauty of Hanoi's autumn and building attractive and creative tourism products are the highlights that the capital's tourism industry is focusing on developing.
Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that currently, Hanoi is paying special attention to developing products with unique and characteristic marks of the capital.
