Coop Select feminine hygiene solution batch recalled due to substandard quality.

On June 2nd, the Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health issued a notice suspending the circulation and recalling nationwide a batch of Coop Select feminine hygiene solution (150ml bottles) due to failure to meet quality standards regarding microbial limit.

Specifically, the recalled product batch has cosmetic product declaration registration number 002013/25/CBMP-HCM, batch number S2510087, production date 21-10-2025, and expiry date 21-10-2027.

According to the label, the entity responsible for bringing the product to market is Truong Duong Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (address: 160 Truong Cong Dinh Street, Tan Binh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The product is manufactured at the branch of Truong Duong Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (address: 110-111 Tran Van Muoi Street, Ba Diem Commune, Ho Chi Minh City).

Previously, the Tay Ninh Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) had taken product samples from two supermarkets, Coopmart Tan Chau and Coopmart Tay Ninh, for quality testing.

Test results from the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Drug Testing and the Tay Ninh Provincial CDC showed that the sample did not meet quality standards regarding the limit of microorganisms.

Based on the test results, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has ordered the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of the infringing product batch.

The Drug Administration Department requests that the health departments of provinces and cities urgently notify businesses and users of cosmetics in their areas to immediately cease trading and using the aforementioned product batch; and return the product to the supplier.

Local authorities are also required to strengthen inspections and supervision of recalls at businesses and establishments using cosmetics, and to strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate regulations.

For Truong Duong Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, the department requires the company to send recall notices to its entire distribution system and product users; receive returned products, organize the recall and destruction of the entire batch that does not meet regulations, and report before July 1st.

The Drug Administration also requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to supervise the recall and destruction process of the infringing product batch from Truong Duong Company and its production branch.

At the same time, this agency needs to inspect the compliance with legal regulations on cosmetic management in the production and business activities of enterprises; and handle violations (if any).
